MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick

Ruby Woo is hands down one of the most sought after matte lipsticks from MAC cosmetics but there still some women who are skeptical about wearing red lipsticks so I decided to write up a quick MAC Ruby Woo lipstick review.

Video of me wearing Ruby Woo

I bought my Ruby Woo lipstick years ago and I loved it so much that I bought a second one by mistake.

Let’s get into the good and bad of this lipstick:

  • Beautiful, bright color – my pics speak for themselves. Ruby Woo really pops!
  • Lasts long – I’ve never had a problem wearing this all day
  • Pigmented – Color glides on easily and distributes well.

Dries out your lips – there’s nothing perfect under the sun. Ruby Woo will have your lips feeling like all of the moisture has been sucked from your lips (no pun intended). I don’t know about you but dry lips make me uncomfortable. I haven’t been able to find a solution because even if I apply moisture before or after applying RW, my lips still end up dry.

Bottom Line

If you don’t mind the drying feeling, purchase your very own Ruby Woo lipstick. I also want to add that Ruby Woo is so awesome you don’t need to wear a lip liner with it.

Have you tried MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick? If so, did you like it? If not, will you try it out?

  • It’s a really good color for you. My friends loves this color. I don’t own it personally but I have a few colors that’s similar (according to the MAC reps).

  • Camesha

I have heard that people LOVE ruby woo! I need to try it. I’m always looking for the perfect red. I seem to keep finding the duds! lol

  • I have never tried Ruby Woo! It looks really cute on you. I will give it a try!!

  • It looks great on you. I own Ruby Woo but I can’t deal with the dryness. I prefer Reds from Wet n Wild for that reason.

  • Kay’s Ways

Ruby Woo is definitely a classic and looks good on so many different skin tones. You are rocking it well! I ended up giving mine to my sister when she was trying to get me for my limited edition Riri Woo.

  • The color is really pretty, I can see why so many people liked it! I agree matte lipsticks can leave our lips feeling dry – I usually put a layer of gloss on top but I’m not sure thats the best solution since the point is to have a matte look 🙂
